Remove an account

When removing an account, Sock will perform a soft delete of the asset, and delete the data on the server(s).
The asset will remain present in Sock with the status Deleted. This allows a restore of that asset in Sock.
An asset restore only applies to its configuration in Sock, not to the data that was stored on the server(s).

Reusing names of removed assets

As long as the deleted asset remains in Sock, reusing that asset's name will not be possible, because Sock enforces that all asset names are unique.
Contact our support team if you want to restore, or permanently remove this asset.

Deleted assets can be viewed via Show deleted in their respective widget.
In this example the account cms was deleted, which is displayed with greyed out and strikethrough text.

Alternatively, you can list all deleted accounts via the Accounts menu on the left hand side, by selecting the Deleted checkbox.

To remove an account, navigate to the relevant account's menu and select Edit account.

In the Edit menu select Remove account.

A dialog box will appear to confirm the deletion of the account.
Enter the name of the account and confirm with Remove account.

Data loss

This action will remove all files and databases associated with the account!
In this example the database demodb will also be deleted, as it is associated with the demo account.
Unlinking the database from the account will prevent it from being deleted. More information on how to do this can be found here.
